Damp walls are often caused by rising damp: moisture from the ground travels upward through porous materials such as stone, brick, concrete, and mortar. This can lead to blistering, mould, salt deposits (efflorescence), musty odours, and reduced indoor comfort.

The ATG LC15, ATG LC30, and ATG MAX are wall moisture control systems designed to help counter rising damp over time by influencing the wall’s magnetic environment (geomagnetic polarity principle). They operate autonomously, require no wiring and no electricity, and are designed to be maintenance-free, making them suitable for buildings where a non-invasive approach is preferred.

🛠️ Shelf or Cabinet Installation (Under Conditions)

The ATG device may be placed on a shelf or inside a cabinet (e.g., closet, cupboard) on the ground floor, if the following conditions are met:

• The furniture must be stable and fixed to avoid vibration or movement

• The unit must be firmly secured using strong double-sided adhesive or a stable support

• It must be positioned 1.5 to 2.0 meters above ground level

• It must be located more than 1.5 meters away from any electrical source (excluding standard wall outlets)

• It must be oriented toward magnetic north (use a compass or app)

📌 Do not move the device once installed.

👉 It is not necessary to place it directly on a damp wall. Installation at the center of the home or treatment area is often the most effective, allowing better distribution of the geomagnetic field.

Initial effects are usually visible within 18 to 24 months after installation. As the wall dries, it regains its natural insulation properties.

🧱 Tips for Optimal Drying Results

1. Remove Film-Forming Coatings

Scrape off plastic paints, waterproof renders or other sealed coatings about 10–20 cm above the affected area. This allows the wall to breathe and release moisture.

2. Ensure Proper Ventilation

Improve air circulation:

• Functional mechanical ventilation system (VMC) or window ventilators

• Door undercuts: 1.5 cm in dry rooms, 2 cm in humid rooms

• Window air inlets if necessary

3. Restore the Walls After Drying

Once dry:

• Brush off hygroscopic salts on the surface

• Re-plaster with lime-based render and anti-salt additive

4. Install Drainage if Needed

In case of lateral infiltration or hydrostatic pressure, perimeter drainage may be necessary to divert groundwater from foundations.

⚠️ What This Device Does Not Treat

ATG wall drying devices are not designed to address:

• Water infiltrations from cracks, gutters, roofs, or damaged masonry

• Damage caused by flooding or plumbing leaks

• Existing mold on surfaces (must be cleaned separately)
